When deaf people from different countries meet and interact, as happens at the Deaflympics, how do they communicate? In such situations, they use International Sign. International Sign is widely accepted worldwide not so much as a language but as an international sign communication method. At the Deaflympics, International Sign and the host country’s sign language are used for communication as one way to replace audio information (starter sounds, referee signals and whistle sounds, etc.) in competitions with visual information provision. Here we introduce expressions useful for cheering from International Sign and Japanese sign language.Sign language is a language, and just like spoken languages, each country and region has its own sign language (Japanese Sign Language, American Sign Language, Chinese Sign Language, etc.).Thank youThank youDeaflympicsCheeringwinApplausehopeJapanese Sign LanguageInernational SignTTookkyyoo2255tthhSSuummmmeerr22002255DDeeaaflflyymmppiiccssLet’s Learn Signs and Let’s Learn Signs and Go Watch the DeaflympicsGo Watch the Deaflympics
