To facilitate smooth communication during the Games, we invite you to make use of following information support services and communication tools.
Voice-to-text Conversion Apps
- Voice-to-text apps that recognize audio information in real time and translate it into multiple languages are convenient tool that make communication smoother.
- You may use a voice-to-text app you usually operate, or make use of "UD Talk" app, if necessary.
How to Use "UD Talk" App
- Please watch the explanatory video below and download the app to your smartphone and register Deaflympics dedicated account.
- To enhance the accuracy of audio information recognition and translation, vocabulary frequently used in competition have been pre-registered in this dedicated account.

Remote Sign Language Interpreting Service
※For inquiries related to accommodation, transportation and ID cards only
- Should you encounter difficulties communicating with staff at accommodation facility or on bus during transit, in the event of an emergency, you may utilize the remote sign language interpreting service.
- Access the service via the QR code displayed at accommodation facilities and designated pick-up/ drop-off points.
- For detailed instructions on how to use, please refer to the explanatory video:
Universal Chat Board (Pointing Communication Tool)
- A board with icons for pointing communication, allowing quick and easy interaction between people who hearing, deaf or speaking different languages.
- Universal chat board will be provided with your ID card.

SIM Cards for Delegations
About SIM Cards
- The SIM cards for use during the Games period will be distributed to delegations the time of ID issuance.
- The SIM cards offer unlimited internet access. Please feel free to use it for networking and other purposes.
- The period of use is limited to the duration of Games.

Important Notes
- The SIM cards we provide will differ depending on whether your smartphone is an iPhone or an Android device. Please inform us of your smartphone type when receiving your ID card.
- Based on the recent survey on the delegations website, we have determined the number of SIM cards per type and have prepared sufficient quantities, however the distribution will cease once stock run out.
- Only one SIM card per person.
- In case of damage or loss, we will not provide a new SIM card.
Establishment of Delegations Services Desk
Service Overview
During the Games period, Delegation Service Desk will be established at each official accommodation facility to handle enquiries from delegations.
- Assistance with check-in and check-out procedures
- Guidance on dining options
- Information on official transport services and bus timetable
- Offering a laundry service to athletes and officials during their stay
To facilitate smooth communication with each national delegation, multilingual communication tools displaying audio information in different languages and signage displays will be installed, as well as the English-speaking staff will be employed.

Laundry Service for Delegations
Who can use the service?

Delegations who have booked their accommodation via the Official Travel Agency of TOKYO 2025 DEAFLYMPICS - JTB Corp :
Complimentary laundry service is available.
- Delegations who have arranged their own hotel accommodation :
Service is available as a paid option. Should you require this, please contact LOC.
Service Overview
- LOC will provide a laundry service during the Games period by distributing set number of free laundry tickets to each delegation.
- Laundry service requests will be treated by Delegation Service Desk located in each official hotel. Delegations' representatives may receive free laundry tickets for all members of team at Delegation Services Desk together with laundry nets.
When using laundry service
Please hand over your laundry net containing your items and laundry ticket to Delegations Service Desk. You will receive your laundry back in the laundry net as well.
Items that cannot be handled
Underwear, silk and other heat-sensitive items, judo (karate) uniforms, swimwear and other items that may shrink.

- Laundry collection:next morning from 8:00 a.m.

If necessary, additional laundry tickets can be purchased at Delegation Services Desk.

- Only people who have booked accommodation with ATC can apply for the meal option.

- As there are numerous restaurants near the accommodation, please refer to guides such as EAT Tokyo for options.

Paid meals as optional service
- LOC, is ready to accept reservation on paid meals as optional service through our official travel agency, JTB.
In addition to providing a paid dinner option at certain hotels, LOC can offer a paid dinner option at Deaflympics Square and Ariake Coliseum via JTB. LOC is also able to introduce how to purchase prepaid cards, and meal coupons that can be used at nearby facilities.

- Refreshments (such as bottled water, bananas, energy bars, etc.) will be available at the competition venue.
- At the transportation hub, such as Deaflympics Square and Ariake Coliseum, LOC is planning to provide cup soups, instant noodles, and mixed nuts for the athletes as refreshments.
