Digital Technology Exhibition / Experience Programme (Miru Tech)

The programme “Miru Tech” will feature a variety of exhibitions and interactive experiences utilizing digital technologies such as Universal Communication (UC) technology.
Visitors can experience various technologies, including those that display spoken or typed input on transparent displays, technologies that convert sign language into text, and digital technologies that convert vibrations into sound or light.

Tokyo Tourist Information Center

“Tokyo Tourist Information Center” operates at five locations across Tokyo (Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, Busta Shinjuku, Haneda Airport, Keisei Ueno, and Tama) to provide tourist information to visitors from both Japan and abroad.

Tokyo Tourist Information Center will have a booth at the Deaflympics Square this time to offer tourist guidance. Along with brochures, we have prepared various content for visitors to enjoy. Novelty items will also be available for those who come to the booth.

Anime Tokyo Station

"Anime Tokyo Station" (Ikebukuro, Tokyo) is a hub that promotes the appeal of Japanese anime culture both domestically and internationally. It features special exhibitions where visitors can experience the worlds of popular anime works, as well as permanent exhibits that allow learning about the anime production process through valuable archival materials.

"Anime Tokyo Station" will have a booth at Deaflympics Square this time, presenting exhibitions of famous anime! Standing panels of characters and an experience corner using AR technology will be set up.

Café Space

A space will be provided where athletes and visitors can relax while enjoying exhibitions of Universal Communication (UC) technology. Coffee will also be offered by sponsoring companies.

Lantern Area

To allow athletes and visitors to feel the support and encouragement from our sponsoring companies (Total Support Members) for the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics, lanterns with company names will be displayed as a recognition feature.

Festival Area

Photo Spot

TOKYO 2025 DEAFLYMPICS is the first Deaflympics held in Japan and marks the 100th anniversary since the first Games.

To help make this special Games a lasting memory for everyone visiting Deaflympics Square, a photo spot modelled after the games emblem will be set up. Please feel free to take photos and share them on social media!

Stamp Collecting

A “Stamp Collecting” will be held where visitors search for and collect stamps set up within Deaflympics Square! Booths for learning sign language and other topics will also be available. Visitors who complete the stamp collecting will receive a novelty gift.

Together for Recovery : Support for Iwate, Miyagi, Fukushima and Ishikawa

Iwate, Miyagi, Fukushima, and Ishikawa prefectures were affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and the Noto Peninsula Earthquake. Overcoming difficulties, these four prefectures are making strong progress toward recovery. To convey their appeal, we will offer opportunities to “see, taste, and experience” their charm through exhibitions of traditional crafts, distribution of local products, and workshops for children.

Performance by HEAVEN ARTIST

"HEAVEN ARTIST" are performers licensed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government after passing a screening process to perform in metropolitan parks and private facilities. Various talented HEAVEN ARTIST will appear at Deaflympics Square!

TOKYO 2025 DEAFLYMPICS Support Team Mascot Greeting

To encourage widespread support for the TOKYO 2025 DEAFLYMPICS and foster familiarity with the Games, “TOKYO 2025 DEAFLYMPICS Support Team” has been formed, consisting of mascots from various local governments and organizations. Some of these mascots will appear at Deaflympics Square! The TOKYO 2025 DEAFLYMPICS official mascot “Yuriito” will also make appearances!

Deaf Sports / Communication Experience

Join us for an event where you can experience the fun and excitement of Deaf sports.

You’ll also have the chance to learn about Deaf culture and take part in communication experiences that encourage thinking about an inclusive society.
