Comments from children who voted

  • I chose this medal because it features a paper crane, a traditional Japanese motif, and I think it will leave a perpetually impression on athletes from overseas. I also thought that the traditional Japanese patterns and colour would help to convey these Japanese traditions.
  • I thought the ribbon was stylish and cool. I chose the medal because I want to see athletes fighting as if they are spreading their wings. I am looking forward to TOKYO 2025 DEAFLYMPICS.
  • I was excited by the unique Japanese cranes and the meaning of “spreading wings.” I was excited by the expression “Spreading Our Wings towards tomorrow’s future,”
  • I felt that the medals represent traditional Japanese events and techniques, and that this design would show the world that this is Japan, and that the Deaflympics would help deepen friendship with the world.
