Competition Introduction

A sport where players roll a ball towards ten pins arranged in an equilateral triangle, competing on the number of pins knocked down

Basic Rules

One game consists of ten frames, with a maximum of two throws per frame, and the maximum score per game is 300.

Singles uses the dual lane style (American style). The dual lane style uses two lanes, alternating lanes for each frame. After bowling the second frame on one lane, bowl the second frame on the other lane, and repeat this process. Complete one game by bowling five frames on each lane.

Doubles and team events use the Baker format. The Baker format uses one lane where team players bowl alternately in predetermined order, with each player bowling one frame to complete one game.

Unique Aspects of Deaf Sports

The difference lies in communicating bowling start/end and match interruptions to athletes.
Since this cannot be communicated by sound, information must be conveyed visually, such as projecting information on monitors.
