Competition Introduction

A sport competing for finishing order or completion time using lightweight road-specific bicycles on paved courses over set distances

Basic Rules

Competition follows the same international rules as for hearing people.

Unique Aspects of Deaf Sports

The venue, Japan Cycle Sports Center, is a top-level domestic facility where All-Japan Championships are held. The close distance between athletes and spectators is a key feature, and watching deaf athletes slice through the silence is spectacular.

Strategic hand sign exchanges during competition can determine the outcome!
