Overview

  • Athletes use special lightweight road bikes to race to cover a designated distance along paved roads. They compete by placement or the time it took to reach the goal.
  • A trial run is always held before the day of the race in order to allow a full study of the course, any hazards, and key points for winning.

Features as deaf sport

Same international regulations as hearing sport are applied to deaf sport.
Information is conveyed by visual means, such as by using flags and time displays at the starting point, to ensure that deaf athletes are kept informed.

At the TOKYO 2025 DEAFLYMPICS, we consider ways to ensure athlete to be concentrated on competition.
