TOKYO 2025 DEAFLYMPICS Sport Competition Schedule has been updated.

Please note that there was an error in the previously announced time for the Women's Football Final.
Incorrect: Tuesday, 25 November - 16:30

Due to the withdrawal of a participating country in the Women's Team Table Tennis event, the knockout stage has been changed to a final group league format.

Events Schedule

Regarding reception of international certified referees 

Regarding reception of international certified referees for service from National Deaf Sport Federations at the TOKYO 2025 DEAFLYMPICS.
In accordance with the Deaflympics regulations (DG23.8), the LOC will accept international certified referees from national deaf sport federations under the following conditions:

DG23. AUTHORITY & JURISDICTION (REFEREES, UMPIRES, & JUDGES) 8
National federations may propose their international certified referees for service at the Deaflympics. However, these federations must bear all expenses of these officials, unless an agreement is made with the OC.

<Conditions> 
※ Apply specified separately for wrestling (Freestyle and Greco-Roman)

  • Must bear all expenses, for instance, including overseas travel expenses, accommodation fee, and the expense of food and drink of these referees by national federations.
  • Approve to delegate the task to those referees by the LOC. (The LOC will give the referees a reward based on engaged record at the events. However, be allowed to decline to receive those rewards if the referee will not.)
  • Agree that the collection, application and provision of personal information to third parties for instance, related sport federations arising from the delegating of own duties as a referee will be handled in accordance with the Privacy policy [Personal Information Protection Policy] (https://www.tef.or.jp.e.apk.hp.transer.com/privacy/index.html) of the Tokyo Sport Benefits Corporation that is the main operating collective for the LOC and the "Bylaws Regarding Personal Information Protection at the Tokyo Sport Benefits Corporation the Deaflympics Preparation and Operation Office(PDF: 234KB)".
  • It is necessary to obtain the authorization of resident eligibility as an "Entertainer" visa (period of stay 30 days) for working as a paid referee in the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics.
  • The national deaf sport federation which brings the referees along must register the referees as members of the national deaf sport federation for a term of the final entry registrations by the OMS. However, the referees who the national deaf sport federation can register are limited to those approved for acceptance in advance by the LOC.

<Regulations by ICSD>
~Special note for the wrestling (Freestyle & Greco-Roman)~
・According to the ICSD Regulations, each participating country must include UWW licensed referee(s) in its Delegation. The country of the participating referee will be responsible >for the costs of meals, accommodation and local transportation. ICSD will impose financial sanction on the country that fails to respect this obligation.

【UWW-licensed referee】
・Each participating country must provide at least one UWW-licensed referee if they bring three or more wrestlers in the Women's Wrestling, Greco-Roman, or Freestyle categories.
・Each participating country is responsible for the costs of meals, accommodation, and local transportation for the UWW-licensed referees to reduce the burden on the host's finances.
・Suppose the participating country does not bring their country's UWW-licensed referee(s). In that case, the host has the right to charge the cost of meals, accommodation, and >local transportation for the UWW-licensed referees when the participating country arrives at the airport/hotel. The fee is $120 per day.
